Kingston Driving School is based in Aspendale, Melbourne, Australia in the City of Kingston. Our sole focus is helping students in the suburbs of the City of Kingston. We know every street and road, by having local instructors. Local knowledge means we can offer truly relevant and practical driving experience in the Kingston area.
We understand every learner’s situation is unique. Whether you’re a complete beginner feeling nervous behind the wheel or someone who has made previous attempts at passing a driving test, our instructors are dedicated to your success in passing your driving test, next attempt.
Our focus is on building your confidence and refining your skills, ensuring you’re not only ready for your drive test day, but to be safe with best practice hazard perception skills every day after. a: Refer to our pricing page

q:How can I make payment?
a: I accept these two payment methods;
1. Using your Internet Banking App / Website, make payment via Pay ID Mobile 0418301482. Please note, this is my preferred payment method.
2. Cash presented at the lesson start. Please note, I do not carry change for Cash, Please ensure the exact amount. -
q:Will I get a reminder for my lessons or test?
a: Yes, I will send a SMS Text reminder the day before your appointment.

q:When should I make payment?
a: You should make payment with Pay ID Mobile the day before your lesson. For Cash payment please prepare the correct cash to provide at the lesson start. Remember, I do not carry change for Cash.

q:What if I need to cancel a lesson?
a: We all get sick or have emergencies that occur from time to time. However apart from these circumstances, I require 24 hours notice via a SMS Text or a Phone call. Please DO NOT email me to cancel, I will not see this in time. If I receive the required notice then I will reschedule your lesson. However, if you have a driving test this must be rescheduled by you with the VicRoads office and there is a VicRoads fee for doing this.

q:How do I get my Learners Permit?

q:What do I bring to each lesson?
a: Please bring your Learners Permit, Victorian or Overseas Drivers License (whichever is applicable). I cannot allow a client to drive unlicensed and you will need to forfeit the lesson. Also bring your Mobile phone with the My Learner App already ‘signed in’ into your VicRoads account or your Log Book with a Pen if using this.

q:Where will I meet for the lesson?
a: We will arrange when planning the lesson where pickup is. This will normally be at your home, work, VicRoads office or a Railway Station.

q:How do I book my driving test with VicRoads?
a: You can book your driving test on the VicRoads website https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/ by logging into your VicRoads account or by visiting or calling a VicRoads Office. Please check with me first before booking a drive test to be sure we are both available for the same specific date and time and the best time to do your drive test at your chosen VicRoads office.

q:Do you recommend My Learner App or Log Book?
a: I recommend using the My Learner App. The App greatly simplifies the act of recording your driving hours. A Log Book can be time consuming and error prone to be filled in and can be rejected by VicRoads based on finding inconsistencies on the test day. If you are still wanting to use a Log Book, I recommend visiting a VicRoads office before your test day to ask a VicRoads officer to check the Log Book up front.

q:When should I complete my Hazards Perception Test ( HPT Test )?
a: You must complete this online test before your test day. I recommend being prepared and having this completed at least a week prior to your test day. The test can also be completed at a VicRoads office on their own desktop computers.

q:Can I use my car for a driving test?
a: I cannot take you on a driving test in your car. A driving instructor must use a dual control car. You can use your own car, if attempting the test on your own. Speak to VicRoads regarding this. I recommend using a driving instructor with a dual control car for your driving test.

q:Where will I meet for a driving test?
a: Usually we will plan to meet at the VicRoads office for the driving test. This is the best use of booked appointment time when a lesson is planned prior to the driving test.
